PMP Challenge Question – 8/1

Beginning today, I’m launching a new feature of this blog — the PMP Challenge Question. The PMP Question will be a little different than the exam — it won’t be multiple choice. Providing more difficult questions for review helps make sure you really understand the material. These will also make great review tools for PMPs who want to take a deeper dive into the profession. Feel free to post your answers in the comments for discussion. New questions will be posted the 1st and the 15th of each month, and my answer will be posted with the new question. Later, in the fall, the challenge question will earn someone a complete PMP Review book and practice exam.

So without further ado, here is the first challenge question:

What are the four primary risk mitigation strategies? Under what circumstances you would use to choose one over the others?
